David is the most versatile coach at OSSA! He can workout with the pros at Citi Open and go all the way down to 10U. He never has a bad day personality-wise and that type of vibe is crucial when working with all levels of players. All the kids love the guy!

David Martin has been an assistant coach with OSSA since 2016 and joined our staff full-time in June 2019. David previously worked at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF), Southeast Tennis & Learning Center and SportFit Bowie Health Club. David is USPTR certified and he has been ranked as high as #2 in the Mid-Atlantic Open division.

David is nicknamed "Butter" because of his smooth strokes and on-court demeanor. He is well sought after during the Citi Open by pro tour veterans as he's been a hitting partner at the tournament for many years. He has practiced with many of the world's top pros, including: Alexander Zverev, John Isner, Milos Raonic, Sam Stosur, Vasek Pospisil, Ekaterina Makarova, Alex Dolgopolov, among others.

David currently works with all groups and specializes in working with the National Team, Developmental Team and Championship Team. He has the potential to be a great coach because he sees the game as a player does and he connects with the kids.
